Hi Guys, do you have a contact number to discuss? I can’t see one on the website!

    Thanks Paul

OMG – I have just entered the race – now it has become real and rather exciting. On the registration form it asked for your experience: 1. experienced – I have done ultra mt runs before; 2, I enjoy the mountains but not run an ultra; 3 I cant remember – probably none of the above. Does one ultra Mt Run qualify for “experienced”?

    • northburn says:

Absolutely! Which one was it? Just make sure you do plenty of hill work in your training!

    • Sue Hardy says:

Kepler (which was fantastic) and Tarawera (no mountains but it was fun all the same). The 30 hour cut off for 100ks seems awfully long which leads me to believe it aint going to be easy out there.

Is there a mailing list? I’d like to be kept up to date, but couldn’t possibly enter without consulting the support crew, I mean wife.

    Cheers

What is the cut off for the 100km race going to be?

  6. madonna faux says:

I am very new to all this and I was wondering what the cut off time is for the 50K Thank you for your time – it looks amazing.

  7. Brent Harris says:

Fliers can also be sent australias way, i manage a running store over here in sydney and would be more than happy to promote this race.

  8. Morgan Garandel says:

nah, it’s a no brainer! Between a 100 mile with 9000m+ of climbing and other “ultras” i am not asking myself any questions. At last an ultra in the likes of ws100 or utmb. I’m in!

PS : send me some fliers to distribute around queenstown and wanaka

  9. Brent Harris says:

Fantastic to see this up and running, just what nz needs to continue the resurgence of ultra running. I travel back to nz from aus often to race, and this one will become top of the list!

  10. James Styler says:

This is just what NZ needs and looks like it’s set to become the gold standard of ultra races in the Southern Hemisphere. I look forward to it (I think)

  11. Marty Lukes says:

At last a genuine trail ultra in NZ.

    Brilliant!!

    • Marty says:

My enthusiasm got me carried away… of course there are lots of genuine and wonderful trail ultras in NZ… just no 100 milers…. looks like we now have a 100 mile event that we don’t have to go to the States for. Good stuff.

Hopefully there are enough keen people around in late March given the superbly constructed and hugely successful Tarawera Ultra event and the awesomely epic and fun 49 km Motatapu Adventure Run. Both in March…

      Some great options!
