Hi Sharnita - it's a plan of mine to put up a comprehensive 'training schedule' for first time Northburn 100ers. In the mean-time I strongly reccommend full day hikes and some weekend hikes (up the steapest hills/mountains you can find) plus 2 10k runs and a 20k run mid-week.

Just thought you should know that you have shown Caro Gates as top finisher in womens 50 km, but it was won by Emma Bilous at 7 hrs 15, 42 min ahead of Caro. Emma wasn't even shown as finisher on the cover page. I'm sure she would appreciate her inclusion and recognition. Cheers,

Thanks much ... that's a pity. HK100 got in last year without further hassles. Anyway, thanks for trying, appreciate the follow-up, and let's hope it's not driven by overly protective measures across the pond to give the Americans undue advantage to qualify for WSER.

Hi Andre - finally heard back from WSER... they are REDUCING the number of qualifying events not taking on more at the moment! Apparently they will review at a later date but they're going to just focus on the well established big events - might be a while before we're worthy!
